06.20.12

I was sitting in the parking lot of the thrift store eating my lunch from Chick-fil-A when this little guy decided to come say hello. He hung out with me for a good twenty minutes and was still on the windshield when I went inside.

I have a lot weighing on me right now and this new friend was a nice break from everything. He gave me a reason to smile, stop and text Nate and take my mind off things for a few minutes.

When I came back to the car he was gone, but I'm glad we had the time we did together. :)

fill in the blank friday - number THREE.

1.   One of my happiest moments ever was       our wedding day. Which was in summer. In June, the month of weddings! Because Nate wanted it as close to his birthday as possible. He wanted it ON his birthday but I told him we were NOT getting married on a Monday!

2.  Summer is wedding season and weddings are    a multitude of things, depending on the couple and the ceremony and all the other factors involved. But it is important to remember that a wedding does not a marriage make. :)

3.  This summer     has been good. I've been able to work at a wonderful school with some amazing children. Nate and I have been able to share some great new memories in our new home with each other and with family and friends. And we have had some pretty big learning and growing experiences.

4.  My summer food of choice has been   giant salads filled with grape tomatoes. And fresh peaches. And boiled peanuts. Mmmmm, mmmmm!

5.  My summer uniform has been     Skirts, tees and sandals. It's been 100 degrees and over so much lately that it's been hard to do to much with my clothes lately.

6.  If I could spend the entire summer in one location I would choose      somewhere in Italy. Sorrento would be nice .

7.  My summer anthem is       "Brown Eyed Girl" or "Jack and Diane" Those are definitely the first two that come to mind.

If you want to join up, go here to 'the little things we do' and follow the instructions. And have fun! :)

And now I am going to go finish cleaning this messy place up and get ready for a dinner date with the hubbers. K bye.

fill in the blank friday - numero uno.

So. I am going to get started back on the trust30 challenge tomorrow. But until then, I've decided to start with 'fill in the blank fridays!' :)

1.   My plans this summer include       working with my amazing children at my new school and just enjoying and trying to make the most of every day.

2.  The best summer I ever had was    the summer of 2009 - when we got married! :)

3.  Summer is     bare feet, camping, boiled peanuts and sweet tea on the back porch at night with the family, fireflies and homemade peach ice cream.

4.  My favorite summer food is   a cheeseburger hot off the grill, boiled peanuts, watermelon and peach cobbler with homemade ice cream for dessert.

5.  The best way to quench a summer thirst is with     a giant glass of sweet tea, of course.

6.  My summer uniform consists of       sandals, tshirts and skirts.

7.  The best thing about summer is       that it brings back so many memories of childhood for me. It's a time when the days are longer and the nights are beautiful and you want to be outside and be around the ones you love. It's a happy time. :)

If you want to join up, go here to 'the little things we do' and follow the instructions. And have fun! :)
